A country table with an Argentine soul
L’Estancia is the restaurant of the Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly, set in the Ferme d’Apremont on the edge of the forest.
Come for lunch on the terrace, dinner by the fire, an afternoon snack or a drink after the match. The cooking draws on the Argentina of polo: empanadas, provoleta, Argentine beef, dulce de leche. The rest follows the season and the French countryside.
You don’t need to be a member or play polo: just walk in and sit down.
Open to everyone, club members or not.
The cooking
Plates to share to start, Argentine beef, homemade desserts. The blackboard changes often: here is the current menu.
For allergies or dietary requirements, mention them in your booking request.
In the warmer months
Summer asados
When the grass season is in full swing, the parrilla is lit in the garden: sausages, chicken, lamb and vegetables off the grill, to share with friends. Asado evenings are announced on Instagram.
More than a restaurant, a place to gather
A 17th-century farm, polo fields as far as the eye can see and a house where you quickly feel at home. Come for the meal, stay for the atmosphere.
Under the tent, in the garden
On sunny days, tables move onto the lawn in the shade of the big tree. The covered terrace takes over when the sky can’t make up its mind.
Beside the fields
Matches are free to watch, and entry to the club is free all year round. Come before the game, stay after the prize-giving.
